About the owner :

My name is Kayla and I am from Palmer, Alaska. I was born at the old Palmer Hospital but mostly grew up in Anchorage. I moved back to the valley in 2017 and have been here since! I started Tinker Time in November 2022 and opened February 2023. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and have been an RN since 2019. Before nursing school I was a Veterinary Technician and I am still licensed as one. I share this background because it gives a clearer picture of my love for science and medicine. I’ve always loved biology, chemistry, math, and technology. As a kid, I knew I wanted to work in the science or medical field, work with children, or be a teacher. Tinker Time is sort of a combination of those! Along with incorporating those passions, it was important to me to have a fun and safe space for children to socialize, play, and learn while spending quality time with their families.
